Cleaning and heating for the

first time

Before using for the first time, clean the

appliance with a damp cloth and then

dry with a soft cloth.

Do not use liquid dish soap! Dish

soap can leave a permanent blue

sheen on the ceramic surface.

The metal components of the cooktop

have a protective coating which may

give off a slight odor the first time the

appliance is heated.

The smell will dissipate after a short

time and does not indicate a faulty con

-

nection or appliance defect.
